What does the aw states on CIDB or construction related work?Is it correct that a supplier do not have be CIDB registerd to be award qoutations less then R30K.

My understanding is that everyone dealing with construction work with any government institution have to be CIDB registered.Please assist.We are struggling with uninformed  corrupt officials in rural areas.
