  • We are an independent service provider for the purposes of the survey and do not represent the Central Supplier Database team or National Treasury. However, we can offer some advice.

The CSD will only come into full effect on 1 April 2016. We are currently in the interim period (1 September 2015 to 31 March 2016. ) During this period suppliers have time to register on the CSD but departments still use their existing databases for procurement.

From that time all government departments will only be allowed to buy form businesses on the CSD. However even after 1 April the CSD will only maintain supplier information. Rotation and procurement related activities will be done outside of the CSD. Organs of state will continue to follow their existing internal processes when it comes to rotation, with the difference being that the supplier's information will be retrieved from the CSD.
