I want to register my company on the central database. I registered to many departments but never had business in ages. Why?
The CSD will be one database for all of government. Registering there does not mean you will naturally get business from government.
Departments and municipalities will be able to search for businesses from there but the invitations will still be done from their own systems for now.
Competing for government business remains a competitive process meaning that your price and your product or service needs to be better than your competitors. A good B-BBEE rating has a positive influence but you still need to be able to compete.
To compete in tenders you also need to know about the tenders yourself. This is published in the tender bulletins, in newspapers and since last year in the new eTenderPublication. You need to go there and search for relevant tenders regularly. Alternatively you can subscribe to a Tender Notification Service like MarketSqr to receove daily e-mail with tenders that apply to your business.
